4,899 Plateau LG Staff Get Promotion Letters


4,899 Staff of the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau have been issued letters of promotion, through the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission.
Announcing the the cheering news to Directors of Personal Management (DPMs) from the 17 LGAs, Chairman of the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Robert Taple explained that the promotions is in line with the APC led administration in the state to boost human capital developmentin line with the Manifesto of the rescue administration.
He further said that he is handing over the promotion letters of all the local government staff to the DPMs for onward distribution to the staff according to their local government of service.
Speaking on the convertions of staff who have acquired additional qualifications in the course of service, Chairman of LGSC posited that the board will soon start the posting and reposting of staff who have stayed up to ten years at a particular duty station and effecting the upgrade of staff according to their new qualifications simultaneously.
Speaking on behalf of the DPMs, Mr. Caleb Gullek who is the DPM of Jos East LGC was full of praise to the Governor Simon Bako Lalong led government for prompt payment of staff salaries, payment of no work, no pay salary arears, training and other welfare for staff which they have been benefitting.
He called on all civil servants to support the government of the day and desist from partisan politics as enshrined in the civil service rules.
So far, a total of 10,247 local government staff have been promoted in three tranches.
