The Secretary to the Government of Plateau State Sir Richard
Tokma mni, KSM has enjoined the good people of the State to consider giving the
APC led Rescue Administration another four years to consolidate on the developmental
strides it has achieved this far.
Sir Tokma who opined that the Governor Simon Bako Lalong led
administration is people oriented; also said that for the purpose of continuity
and rapid socio-economic development of our dear Plateau, it's necessary for
Plateau citizens vote for APC enmasse in the forth coming polls.
The Secretary to the Government of the State stated this
when members of the Plateau State Independent Publishers Association, PIPA led
by its Chairman, Chief Amb. Nanyah Andrew Daman paid him a courtesy call in his
Office at the old Government House, Rayfield.
He reeled out the achievements of Governor Simon Bako Lalong
administration in the last four years to include: the establishment of the
Plateau State Entrepreneurship Development Agency, PLASMEDA which has helped
our youths become business owners; completion of all abandoned projects in the
state, especially the Maraban Jama'a - Yakubu Gowan road; consolidating on the
fragile peace in the state through dialogue and engagement of stakeholders at
all levels among others.
The SGS also called on PIPA to always be fair and balanced
in their reportage, especially at the critical period of election campaigns,
avoid personality attacks and issues that will heat up the polity.
Narrating the purpose of their visit, Chairman of PIPA,
Chief Amb. Nanyah Andrew Daman said the purpose of PIPA's visit is show its
commitment to the development of Plateau State and reiterate their commitment
to partner with the State Government through the Office of the Secretary to the
Government of Plateau State so as to effectively disseminate government's
policies and programmes to the people at the grassroots.
He went further to state that the administration of Governor
Simon Bako Lalong has achieved alot and is doing so much for Plateau people
which goes unnoticed.
Daman also hinted that media owners on the Plateau, they are
willing to go into a mutually benefitting partnership with the state government
to enable them use their various media platforms to tell Plateau people what
the government is doing and why it deserves another four years.
