The National Secretary General Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria Alhaji Danladi Garba Pasali has encourage Nigerians to diversify and embark on agricultural activities to end the lingering challenges of economic recession in the country.

Garba Pasali made this known to newsmen at Leadership
Institute Dan Daura Street Jos. He said people have abandon
agriculture. He maintains that Plateau
state can cultivate rice and Irish potatoes which can feed the whole Nation
extensively.
Pasali explained that over depending on oil led to the
economic crack down in the country. He said Nigeria is wide and rich with
natural endowment and challenge people to focus on diversification towards
revamping the sector to grow our economy.
He reiterated that people should use agriculture and mineral
resources to end the current economic recession in Nigeria.
He said deregulation of the oil industries is on course and new refineries are coming up that will help to minimize the petrol price when completed.

Adding that in few years to come the price of petrol will
drop to less than 130 and 120 per litre. He warned that those filling stations
found mitigating the petrol pump price liters should stop. Adding that anybody
that is caught will be sanction and prosecuted.
